Managing Medical Emergencies in a Dental Setting
Would you know what to do in the event of a medical emergency? This course will provide you with the confidence and knowledge to carry out basic life support, understand emergency drugs and how to use emergency equipment.
Who should attend?
All Dental Practitioners and Dental Care Professionals that may have to deal with a medical emergency, if it arises.
What will you learn?
This course has been designed to meet the needs for Dental Practitioners and their staff and follows the guidelines from the Resuscitation Council (UK). The course includes:
- Basic life support including CPR
- Common medical emergencies
- Anaphylaxis awareness
- Familiarisation with emergency drugs
- Use of emergency equipment including an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
You will be continuously assessed throughout the course by our trainer. This course carries three hours towards your continuing professional development (CPD).

This course can be held within you practice however, we would request a quiet space for training. Alternatively we are happy to host the course in one of our locations.
